Lanoha Nurseries, Inc., a leading retail garden center in Omaha, Ne. is looking for an individual who wants professional and personal growth in a take charge environment. The role of the merchandiser will provide customer service, and generate increased store sales within key department’s locations with merchandise placement, display, and changes. The qualified candidate must possess experience in setting up display’s, buying, customer service and good communications skills. Strong computer skills along with horticultural and industry knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Drives sales and profitability through proper merchandising and overall presentation of specific departments.
• Works with retail manager and other department assistants to effectively communicate store displays and setup for inbound merchandise.
• Ensures staff maintains display areas daily for cleanliness and presentable for the following day.
• Assist with manager functions for opening or closing and cashiering functions.
• Work with vendors for delivery schedules, credit, and returns.
• Manage purchasing budgets to maximize store profitability.
• Provide innovative ideas for the in store set up and process.
• Ability to multi task and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to work a full time schedule including evening, weekends, and holidays.
• Availability to travel as needed
• Positive attitude a must!
