By the 1980's, Lanoha's occupied over 600 acres in western Douglas county and each acre was planted with TREES!!! With thousands of trees in production, Lanoha Nurseries is able to control the quality of the trees and insure that the trees are acclimated to the Nebraska climate.

The production of quality trees, shrubs and perennials is the lynch pin of the nurseries success. Lanoha's has become the largest nursery in the mid-west. In 1995 Lanoha's bought the 110 year old Marshall's Nursery in Arlington NE. Marshall's added thousands of large maturing trees to the already vast Lanoha inventory. In 1992 another 240 acres of trees were planted known as the Flatland Tree Farm. Lanoha Nurseries now offers over 1,000 acres of Nebraska grown plant material, all acclimated to the mid-west weather conditions.

In 1996 Lanoha's opened the new, World Class Garden Center building. Aside from the vast size, the impressive Garden Center features architectural artifacts salvaged from Omaha's historic buildings that have been razed including but not limited to:

In 2003 Lanoha's opened a several acre ARBORETUM filled with endless tree, shrub and perennial varieties. Each plant is identified with botanic / common name and growth habit of each species. The arboretum offers large impervious walking paths among numerous waterfalls and streams showcasing various types of rock suitable for any residential or commercial project. Stroll through the covered bridge and view sculpture by local artist.

Word of the garden center has bled into the nursery community leading to a constant stream of nursery owners from through out the United States and Europe to tour our cutting edge creation. It has been reported that:
